LAKEWOOD, Wash. (AP) - A new Lakewood elementary school will be named Four Heroes Elementary to honor four police officers who were killed in an ambush.

The News Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1geGiuG) the school will be visible from the police station, which also has a memorial to the fallen officers.

Sgt. Mark Renninger and officers Tina Griswold, Gregory Richards and Ronald Owens were killed on Nov. 29, 2009, in a Parkland coffee shop. Their killer was shot and killed a couple of days later in a confrontation with a Seattle officer.
