NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Juvenile Court Judge Yolanda King was indicted Thursday by a New Orleans grand jury on charges of lying about where she lives.

The indictment alleges King resides in St. Tammany Parish and not New Orleans, as she stated in campaign reporting documents.

King told NOLA.comThe Times-Picayune (https://bit.ly/1gXBrt0) during the election campaign that she owns a home in the St. Tammany community of Slidell where a sister was living. But she said that during the campaign she lived with another sister in New Orleans.

King was elected in May 2013. The attorney general’s office opened an investigation into her residency claim soon after.

King’s attorney, Clarence Roby Jr., declined to comment on the indictment.
