The House cancelled its session on Monday as a severe winter storm is expected to hit Washington.
“Due to expected severe weather and travel delays, legislative business and votes in the U.S. House of Representatives will be postponed on Monday, March 3,” said Rory Cooper, a spokesman for Majority Leader Eric Cantor, in a statement.
The District is expected to get 6 to 10 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Flight delays or cancellations are possible and could make it difficult for members to return to Washington from their districts.
