CHICAGO (AP) - A Cook County judge has sentenced two men to more than 100 years in prison in the 2009 shooting death of a Chicago police officer.

Judge Jorge Alonso sentenced 24-year-old Kevin Walker to 120-years on Wednesday and 25-year-old Christopher Harris received 105 years.

Walker and Harris were convicted in the death of Officer Alejandro “Alex” Valadez. The officer was shot to death as he investigated a shots fired call on the city’s South Side in June 2009.

A third defendant, 25-year-old Shawn Gaston, also was convicted in Valadez’s death. Gaston is serving a 125-year prison sentence.
