KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say a traffic stop in Klamath Falls led to the discovery of counterfeit $20 bills and the arrest of a 30-year-old woman.
Lt. Gregg Hastings says a trooper stopped a car Tuesday night for a vehicle license violation.
The trooper was joined by officers from the Klamath County sheriff’s office and a city police drug detection dog. Hastings says the woman’s purse contained a stack of printer paper sheets with a total of 62 counterfeit $20 bills on them. A baggie of suspected methamphetamine was also found.
Hastings says Stephanie Vigil was booked into jail for investigation of forgery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Three passengers were released at the scene.
