FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Commission on Women Foundation has received a $100,000 grant to complete the production of a public television documentary that highlights contributions women have made to the state throughout its history.

The grant came from Toyota. The documentary will air on public television and will be sent to schools across the state as an educational tool.

The commission announced the gift Tuesday during a celebration of its 50th anniversary.

Madeline Abramson, wife of Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson, approached Toyota executives last year to seeking funding for the production and distribution of the film.
