HOPKINTON, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island State Police say a woman was critically injured when her car rolled over on Interstate 95 in Hopkinton.

Troopers say the woman was driving erratically in the southbound lanes near exit 2 at about 1 a.m. Tuesday when she lost control of the car and it rolled over. Police say she was thrown from the vehicle during the crash.

The woman’s name hasn’t been released. Authorities say she is being treated for life-threatening injuries at Rhode Island Hospital. No one else was in the car.

State police say speed was a factor in the crash. The exact cause remains under investigation.
