TURNER, Maine (AP) - Police say they have identified two people of interest in a fatal hit and run crash that killed a 16-year-old pedestrian in the Maine town of Paris last weekend.

Xavier Fuentes of Turner was struck as he walked along Route 117 on Saturday night. The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/OzI91l ) that an autopsy has determined that Fuentes died of multiple blunt force injuries.

Police say Xavier was facing oncoming traffic, as pedestrians are supposed to do, but he was wearing dark clothes and might have been hard to see.

Police think the teen was struck by a vehicle large enough for a snowplow, although it did not necessarily have a plow.
