CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Winter isn’t quite yet ready to leave.
Spring is just days away, but another winter storm is bringing snow across West Virginia.
The National Weather Service says trained spotters reported more than 7 inches of snow in the Kline Gap area of Grant County, more than 4 inches in Burlington and 2 inches in Martinsburg early Monday morning.
Winter storm warnings are in effect through Monday afternoon for the Eastern Panhandle, eastern West Virginia, and parts of central and western West Virginia. The weather service says Pendleton County could receive up to a foot of snow.
The West Virginia Department of Education’s website shows public schools in 26 counties are closed Monday.
