ROYALTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police are looking for a 90-year-old man who is missing from a nursing home.

Police believe Gilbert Garriepy left on foot from the Windover House in Randolph. He was reported missing Monday morning.

Police are concerned for his welfare due to the low temperatures. It is not believed Garriepy is prepared to be outside for an extended length of time.

Garriepy, who was last seen in his bed at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, may be wearing blue pants, a dark button down shirt, and glasses.

The state police search and rescue team is coordinating with Randolph Police Department, local fire departments, Vermont Fish and Wildlife, K9 units, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter.
