ATMORE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities are investigating whether straight line winds or a tornado led to a building collapse in south Alabama.

A building housing an outlet store in Atmore came crashing down Sunday morning as the region was pelted by heavy rain and high winds. Atmore police say no injuries have been reported.

National Weather Service meteorologist Cody Lindsey says a damage team will be sent to the area Sunday afternoon to help determine the cause of the collapse.

Lindsey says rain in the area is expected to last into the early afternoon hours, but the strongest line of severe thunderstorms appear to have already moved out of the area.

Lindsey says Atmore - just north of the Florida Panhandle - will be under a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning until around noon.
