JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Antonio Johnson scored 20 points, Emanuel Thompson added 19 and McComb ran past Raymond 68-48 to claim the MHSAA Class 4A boys state championship on Saturday afternoon.

It is the Tigers’ (32-1) second state championship in school history and first since 1962. McComb was hot from the start, jumping out to a 22-9 lead after the first quarter that it would never come close to giving up.

Johnson took all of his shots from 3-point range, making 6 of 8. Stacey Mack added 11 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots for the Tigers.

James Jordan led Raymond (28-8) with 16 points. Ron Davis added 13 points and David McFarland 10 points. The Rangers are still seeking their first state title since 1999.
