MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - Police say a man and a woman sought in Idaho and wounded by law enforcement officers in Medford, Ore., after a pursuit have both been released from a hospital and lodged in jail.
Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau said Shavon Willard was released on Friday and booked into the Jackson County jail on an Idaho arrest warrant. She had been sought by the Bonneville County, Idaho, sheriff’s office on a probation violation.
Wayne Pearson was released from a hospital on March 7. He was booked on felony burglary and grand theft warrants out of Bonneville County and a felony eluding warrant out of Jefferson County, Idaho.
Their pickup truck was spotted March 6 at a Medford motel and Medford police as well as officers from several other law enforcement agencies began to follow it.
Budreau says four law enforcement officers fired at the truck after the driver headed straight toward officers, ramming an occupied police SUV.
