WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A Worcester man previously charged as an accessory in the slaying of 20-year-old woman is now facing a murder charge.

The Telegram & Gazette (https://bit.ly/1lDddsf ) reports that Dominic Jackson was indicted by a grand jury on a murder charge Thursday in connection with the Dec. 4 beating death of 20-year-old Alyssa Forino.

Forino’s beaten and burned body was found behind a city home.

Police says Forino’s body was burned in an attempt to cover up the crime.

Jackson had previously pleaded not guilty to being an accessory. He allegedly told police someone else beat the woman to death and he helped dispose of the body in exchange for crack cocaine.

His lawyer previously said he has health and addiction issues.
