NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office says President Barack Obama has nominated attorney John W. deGravelles for a U.S. District judgeship in the Baton Rouge-based Middle District of the federal court system.

Also, the president has nominated Walt Green as U.S. Attorney for the middle district. Green has served as acting U.S. Attorney since July.

Landrieu had recommended both men for the posts.

Their appointments, announced Thursday, are subject to Senate confirmation.
