NEW YORK (AP) - New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says anyone impacted by the deadly blast in East Harlem will be helped “regardless of immigration status.”

He said at a news briefing Thursday that city agencies are there to help everyone.

De Blasio says no one should be afraid to ask for help.

The district of Wednesday’s explosion has a large Hispanic population.
