CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The ex-wife of a Cheyenne man who faces a possible death sentence in the slaying of two people at his home describes her ex-husband as a devoted father.

A jury in Cheyenne is hearing testimony this week from relatives of 34-year-old Nathaniel Castellanos on whether he should receive the death penalty or life in prison.

The jury last week found Castellanos guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of 21-year-old Corey Walker and 25-year-old Megan McIntosh. The jury also found him guilty of attempted first-degree murder against another woman.

The shootings happened at Castellanos’ Cheyenne home in August 2011. He claimed an unknown assailant did the shooting.

The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1i83sS1 ) that Castellanos’ ex-wife Nicole Buchholtz testified Wednesday that Castellanos was devoted to their two sons.
