BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Transportation Department says seasonal load limits will go into effect Wednesday on state and federal highways in the southwest and south central regions.

The weight restrictions guard against damage to roads made susceptible by the spring thaw. The limits extend north and east as spring progresses.

Current seasonal load restriction information can be found on the DOT website or by dialing 511.
