DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware transportation officials say a new EZ-Pass customer service center and Division of Motor Vehicles call center is now open in Dover.

Officials say the 85 workers at the new Loockerman Street devoted to EZ-Pass will serve about 1,000 people a month.

Dover Mayor Carleton Carey calls it the most extensive downtown economic development project in years and hopes it will benefit downtown merchants and fuel growth in the area.

DMV Director Jennifer Cohan says EZ-Pass has about 70 percent utilization on Route 1 and Interstate 95, but officials hope the added Dover site will boost EZ-Pass’ visibility.
