FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a Fort Wayne man has died from injuries he suffered when he was struck by an SUV while walking in a street.
The Allen County coroner’s office says 29-year-old Adam Shaw died at a hospital from blunt-force trauma two days after he was hit Friday night.
Police say the SUV driver told officers that he didn’t see Shaw until he was struck. A witness told investigators that Shaw was dressed in all-dark clothing, making it difficult to see him in the industrial area east on the city’s east side.
Police say Shaw was wearing headphones when he was hit.
