INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - An Indiana judge who was removed from the bench against her will last week by the state Supreme Court has withdrawn from the Democratic primary in May.
The Indianapolis Star reports (https://indy.st/1isftRb ) former Marion Superior Court Judge Kimberly Brown filed a candidate withdrawal form on Friday with the Indiana Election Division. That move came after three judges appointed to investigate Brown found she had committed judicial misconduct in 46 out of 47 counts. She was removed from office on March 4, making her ineligible to serve as a judge again.
Brown can still work as an attorney, though, because her law license was not suspended.
