MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 31-year-old suburban Detroit woman they say bit off part of her boyfriend’s ear.
Danielle Nebelung was arraigned Monday on an aggravated assault charge in Shelby Township District Court. A judge jailed her on $10,000 bond and scheduled a probable cause hearing March 17.
Nebelung’s 36-year-old boyfriend says they argued early Saturday after Nebelung arrived at their home Macomb County’s Macomb Township, 25 miles north of Detroit.
WXYZ-TV says the fight was over rent.
The boyfriend says Nebelung punched his head, jumped on his back and bit him. Paramedics recovered the flesh, but WDIV-TV says reattachment isn’t expected to work.
In court Monday, Nebelung said he attacked first, while he denied striking her at all.
He says he’ll be scarred for life and wants more serious charges.
