KETCHIKAN, Alaska (AP) - Police in Ketchikan say they want to arrest a Washington state man suspected of arranging to transport drugs to the city.

The Ketchikan Daily News (https://bit.ly/1fPndxv) reports a $100,000 arrest warrant has been issued for 45-year-old Viet Q. Nguyen (WEN) of Kent.

Police say Nguyen is suspected of sending his brother to Ketchikan on an Alaska ferry carrying a suitcase with nearly a half pound of methamphetamine.

Charging documents say Phong Q. Nguyen was supposed to deliver the suitcase to a man in a hotel room, obtain money for a plane ticket and fly back to Washington.

The man in the hotel room was a police informant. The younger brother was arrested. He said at arraignment Monday he did not know that the suitcase contained drugs.
