LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Entergy Arkansas, the power company which serves about 700,000 customers in 63 counties across Arkansas, says the utility is prepared for potentially severe winter weather this weekend.
Some forecasts are predicting a range of bad weather conditions this weekend, from potential thunderstorms with hail to freezing rain and sleet.
The National Weather Service says a storm could create enough ice to cause some power outages in northern Arkansas.
Though the company says it’s too early to know how much damage the storm might cause, officials there predict that outages could be significant and caution residents to stay away from any power lines downed by the storm.
