MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) - In a story June 1 about Southern Arkansas University approving tuition increases, The Associated Press reported erroneously that SAU President David Rankin is retiring on June 30. Rankin’s retirement is effective June 30, 2015.

Southern Arkansas University Board of Trustees approve 3.65 percent tuition increase
MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) - The Southern Arkansas University Board of Trustees has approved a 3.65-percent increase in tuition and fees.
The Banner-News reports (https://bit.ly/1wOl4K8) that tuition for a full-time, in-state student will rise from $204 per credit hour to $210.
SAU President David Rankin said the increase is needed because of rising costs and may also be used to help fund pay raises for faculty and staff.
The trustees met Thursday and also named a committee to search for a successor to Rankin, who has announced plans to retire June 30, 2015.
