FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Fairbanks police are asking the public for help to solve the case of a store clerk who was shot to death 20 years ago.
Police say David McNulty was ending the night shift at the Garden Island Party Store when police were notified of a “panic alarm” sound on May 30, 1994. Police arrived within a minute and found him dead.
Detective Scott Adams says the case of David McNulty case stands out, in part, because he was an unlikely victim. He worked two jobs to support his family, which included five children.
Police believe a robbery took place that night.
McNulty’s widow, Leilani, told the Daily News-Miner (https://is.gd/FcK95s ) that she’s hopeful the murder will be solved.
