SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A light year for snow in 2013 in Spokane saved the city about $200,000 on snow plowing.

The city says there were plenty of smaller storms and other expenses, such as de-icer.

KREM reports (https://bit.ly/Lhrqh8) the snow removal budget for the last calendar year was $2.47 million but the city spent only $2.27 million.
