FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - It’s 39 consecutive days and counting without any precipitation for Flagstaff.
That ties the city’s dry-spell record, which was first set in 1917 and tied in December 2013.
The city’s last snowfall was on Dec. 21.
According to information from the National Weather Service, Wednesday’s high of 60 degrees in Flagstaff tied a record temperature for that date set in 1986.
Meteorologists say Flagstaff has had 7.11 inches of precipitation since Sept. 1 compared to the average of 9.46 inches.
Snowfall in the city since Sept. 1 is at 29.9 inches, down from the normal level of 50.7 inches.
