BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - The latest winter storm to bedevil Texas motorists have exited to the east, but not without tying up traffic one last morning in Southeast Texas.
Freezing drizzle on Southeast Texas bridges prompted the closing of bridges between Port Arthur and Houston, Orange, Sabine Pass and Louisiana. Also closed were U.S. 69-287 from Beaumont to Port Arthur, Texas 73 around Port Arthur and Interstate 10 through Beaumont.
Schools in the Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange area are closed and classes cancelled for Wednesday.
The National Weather Service predicts a warming trend until temperatures turn cooler again this weekend.
