WESTFORD, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 40-year-old man has been killed after getting entangled in machinery he was operating on his upstate New York dairy farm.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office tells The Daily Star of Oneonta (https://bit.ly/1gqjetA ) that Daniel Banks was trying to free a frozen part on a corn chopper Tuesday when his clothing got caught in the moving machinery.

Officials say he was pulled into the machine and died from injuries to his upper body.

Banks and his wife rented the farmland they lived on with their five children aged between 1 and early teens.
