CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Carson City deputies have arrested a suspect in at least one residential burglary.

Sheriff Ken Furlong says 32-year-old Brandon Peart was arrested Tuesday after a concerned resident reported a suspicious man in the neighborhood.

The investigation began Monday night when a homeowner on Roundup Road walked in on a burglary in progress. Police say the suspect threatened the resident before fleeing with guns.

Authorities located the suspect’s vehicle within minutes of the initial call and a chase ensued along the Carson River. The driver lost control of the car and fled on foot.

Furlong says the car was registered to Peart’s mother.

Peart was arrested on a felony charge of eluding officers.

Authorities say the investigation into the Monday night burglary and a second burglary on Quinn Road continues.
