ALTON, Ill. (AP) - An Alton attorney already facing marijuana and sex charges now is accused of having practiced law without a valid license.
The (Alton) Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1eel0Lg) reports Illinois’ Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission accuses Brad Hunt of failing to register as a lawyer and pay a fee, but still defending several clients even after being told he wasn’t allowed to practice.
Hunt was charged last year in Madison County with growing marijuana in the basement of a home he owns and with offering to provide legal services to two women in exchange for sexual favors.
Online court records don’t show whether the 56-year-old Hunt has an attorney. He does not have a listed home telephone number.
The state regulatory commission has assigned Hunt’s latest allegations to a hearing board.
