CHARLOTTE, Vt. (AP) - The cold, windy weather temporarily delayed a ferry service between New York and Vermont.

The Lake Champlain Transportation Company delayed its ferry between Charlotte and Essex, N.Y., on Tuesday morning. Ferry service resumed at 9 a.m. A ferry from Grand Isle, Vt., to Plattsburgh, N.Y., was running on schedule.

A wind chill advisory was in effect for much of Vermont, with temperatures not getting higher than the teens.
