PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) - Court documents show a Pendleton motel will be auctioned off to pay down more than $600,000 in debt owed by past owners who can’t be found.

The East Oregonian newspaper (https://is.gd/6V1PIf ) reports Jimmy and Marie Gorham never paid previous owner Barry Buehler for the property and they also owe the city of Pendleton $34,000 in room taxes and interest.

Buehler took back the property 10 months ago and sued the Gorhams. He changed the name of the motel from Rodeway Inn to Travelers’ Inn after the Gorhams also failed to pay their franchise fees.

Neither Buehler nor the city can find the Gorhams.
