LARGO, Fla. (AP) - A new billboard in Pinellas County is advertising the three-year-old cold case of a missing police cadet.
The billboard about the case has gone up near where police cadet Kelly Rothwell went missing.
Rothwell was last seen leaving a Clearwater, Fla., restaurant after telling her best friend she planned to break up with her live-in boyfriend, David Perry.
Perry, who is 49 and from New York state, is considered a suspect in her disappearance by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The agency is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.
ABC Action News (https://bit.ly/1l6O50v) reports that Perry is a former New York correction officer. He is serving a sentence of four to 12 years in that state after he was convicted on insurance fraud and related charges.
