WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) - State troopers say two people were killed and five others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Elmore County.

Sgt. Steve Jarrett told WBMA-TV (https://bit.ly/1fu8PYV ) the accident happened Tuesday morning on Alabama route 14 near the Canal Bridge.

Jarrett says the accident is under investigation but authorities believe that icy road conditions were a factor.
