VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Police in Vancouver, Wash., identified the man who owns the white pickup believed to have been involved in a double fatal hit-and-run on Jan. 19.

Spokeswoman Kim Kapp says investigators have not arrested Brandon Smith, and are still trying to determine if he was driving at the time of the collision that killed two women.

Smith’s mother, 63-year-old Linda Smith, and girlfriend, 21-year-old Kalista Andino Rubio, were arrested Friday on suspicion of witness tampering.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/YaMwa6 ) both made their first court appearance Monday. A judge set bail for Smith at $50,000 and at $30,000 for Rubio.

They were ordered not to have contact with Brandon Smith.
