JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - An aide to Rep. Charisse Millett says doctors have discovered a brain lesion that could be a sign of multiple sclerosis.

However, Jeff Turner says that diagnosis has not been confirmed. He says Millett, a Republican from Anchorage, plans to travel to Seattle as soon as possible for a diagnosis.

Millett has missed the session so far because of back problems. The latest on Millett’s health was first reported by the Anchorage Daily News.

Turner says she is scheduled to get a steroid shot on Tuesday and plans to be back at the state Capitol on Friday.

He says she’ll have to use a walker to get around but that this isn’t going to slow her down.
