ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say a woman who was pulled from the bedroom of her burning home in DeKalb County has died.

WXIA-TV reports that the 92-year-old woman was taken to a hospital after the Friday evening blaze on Northstrand Drive. DeKalb Fire Capt. Eric Jackson said the home is off of Snapfinger Road, just outside of the Perimeter.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one room of the home.

Jackson said the cause was still under investigation, but it appears to be accidental. He said the woman, whose name wasn’t released, was alone at the time.
