LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A woman facing a second-degree murder charge has died while in the custody of the Pope County Sheriff’s Department.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1hXFYP3 ) that deputies found 52-year-old Danetta Star unresponsive at 10:32 p.m. Friday. Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall says that a coroner’s initial investigation showed Star had died of natural causes.

Duval says Star was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 86-year-old Cecil Gray. Her bond had been set at $300,000, and she had been in custody since September.

He says Star’s body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Little Rock.
