MIAMI (AP) - Police say a Miami-Dade officer and her husband are accused of stealing gasoline from a county fueling facility.
The Miami Herald (https://hrld.us/1bhwBVg ) reports 41-year-old Rose Stabio and 31-year-old Giomar Picon were arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Stabio, a patrol office, faces charges of organized scheme to defraud and third-degree grand theft. Her husband is a security guard and a Sweetwater police officer. He also was charged.
According to authorities, the pair used a county gas card meant to fill up her patrol car at a South Miami fuel facility. The theft took place over several months and was captured on surveillance video.
It was not clear whether the pair had hired a lawyer.
The investigation was completed by Miami-Dade’s Professional Compliance Bureau.
