RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A member of the Little Rock Nine - the nine students who integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957 - is scheduled to speak at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville as part of Black History Month at the school.

ATU says Ernest Green will speak Feb. 25. The speech is sponsored by the Arkansas Tech Office of Student Services, the Arkansas Tech College of Arts and Humanities and the Arkansas Tech Department of History and Political Science with support from the Arkansas Tech African-American Student Association and ATU’s Omega Psi Phi chapter.

Green was one of the nine black students who integrated the Little Rock school. He has been awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.
