JOLIET, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say a 55-year-old homeless woman likely died from cold exposure after being found in a northern Illinois bus stop.

The (Joliet) Herald-News reports (https://bit.ly/KFWqYo ) Willie Mae White’s body was found early Tuesday in Joliet. The temperature that morning was one degree outside. The wind chill was well below zero.

The newspaper reported White lived in the bus stop where her body was found.



Preliminary autopsy results showed she died from cold exposure.
