Alyeska Resort closed due to warm weather

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alyeska Resort says it plans to be closed Wednesday because of the weather.

The Anchorage Daily News (https://www.adn.com/) says unseasonably warm temperatures, severe weather and an increased load on the snowpack are to blame for the closure.

The Girdwood resort also was closed on Tuesday because of the weather.

Temperatures are expected to be as high as the lower 40s Wednesday.
