ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The Sierra Club, Maryland Chapter has endorsed Del. Heather Mizeur in her run for governor.
The club said Tuesday that Mizeur’s opposition to the proposed conversion of converting the Cove Point LNG import facility to an export facility was a strong factor in the endorsement. The group also said Mizeur supported of offshore wind development, and called her a leader in the effort to streamline Maryland’s composting regulations.
Mizeur faces Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Attorney General Doug Gansler in the Democratic primary in June.
