ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage snowboarder Ryan Stassel has been selected to the U.S. team going to the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
The Anchorage Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/19KXyFq ) he got the news Monday on his way to this week’s X Games in Aspen, Colo.
The 21-year-old was a discretionary pick by U.S. coaches for the four-man slopestyle snowboard team that includes Shaun White, Chas Guldemond and Sage Kotsenburg.
