Phoenix officer arrested for sex with minor

PHOENIX (AP) - Scottsdale authorities say a Phoenix police officer is suspected of having sex with an underage girl who wanted to get pregnant.

The Arizona Republic reports (https://bit.ly/1dkXKGq) Scottsdale police arrested 32-year-old Justin LaClere at his Gilbert home on Friday.

He faces one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and one count of sexual conduct with a minor.

According to police documents, LaClere is accused of having sex with the 17-year-old girl Tuesday at her family’s home while they were away.

Police say LaClere replied to a post the girl made Jan. 13 on Whisper, a cellphone app that allows users to anonymously share photos with text.

Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos says LaClere, a seven-year veteran, resigned from the department Friday.
