NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans says he is returning from a three-game absence to play against the Golden State Warriors.

Evans has missed three games with a left ankle sprain and bone bruise, but says he’s ready to try to play and see how it feels.

Saturday night’s return comes with the Pelicans on a seven-game losing streak and missing several other prominent players to injuries.

New Orleans is without leading scorer Ryan Anderson, who has a herniated disk, starting point guard Jrue Holiday, who has a stress fracture in his right shin, and starting center Jason Smith, who has cartilage damage in his knee.

Evans has played in 33 games, averaging 12.6 points. His last action came in the first half of a loss to Dallas on Jan. 10.
