POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Anthony Myles had 23 points on Saturday night and Rider overcame 24 turnovers with 51.3 percent overall shooting to defeat Marist 66-56.
Myles and Tommy Pereira made back-to-back 3-pointers to put Rider up 48-29 with 8:46 left in the game. Marist used a 13-5 run to close within 53-42 and stayed within striking distance without threatening the Broncs the rest of the way.
Myles was 5 of 7 from 3-point range, Daniel Stewart added 17 points and Kahlil Thomas had 10 for the Broncs (9-8, 5-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
Chavaughn Lewis led Marist with 15 points and Khallid Hart added 11. Adam Kemp returned from a knee injury and two-game absence to record 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Foxes (5-12, 2-5).
Despite Kemp’s effort, Rider out-rebounded Marist 38-22, and held the Red Foxes to only 3 of 18 from 3-point range and 16 of 50 overall.
