COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Columbia College has named its 17th president.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1dGWn8w ) the private college’s board of trustees announced Friday it had unanimously chosen Scott Dalrymple as president. Dalrymple replaces Gerald Brouder, who is retiring.

Dalrymple is dean of the School of Liberal Arts at Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.



Columbia College has more than 30 campuses across the country, including 18 on military installations, with more than 31,000 students.

The college says he’ll be formally introduced on campus Wednesday.
